The "I Can't Believe I Repurchased This" Review

I love false lashes. A lot. And if you love lashes, and wear them a lot, a good lash glue is essential. I have used the same lash glue for what is closer to two years, and I have only now come to realise  that I sort of hate it.

In the beauty store I have in my town, there are about two kinds of glue to choose from(at least in this form, and I’m sure there are more kinds to get a hold of). One is the well known “Duo Eyelash Adhesive”, who I have heard so many good things about, that I had to buy it, even though it is a lot more expensive than the other option. It is also waterproof, and I have to say, that did play a big part in my decision as well.

One of the things that has always bothered me about this glue is the drying time. Now, the only glue I have to compare it with is the adhesive that comes with the Eyelure lashes I’ve recently purchased. According to the box, it should take about 20-30 seconds for it to get dry enough to stick to your eyelids. The Duo adhesive takes almost up to a minute for it do get dry and if you try to apply the lashes before that is a wet mess on your eyes and a mess on your falsies.

Now, I do try to apply a thin layer of glue to my lashes, so it won’t take as long to dry.  And let me tell you, that is not easy. Not only is it impossible to not get half of contents of the tube EVERYWHERE, including not only ones hand, but also over the entire strip of lashes.

Okay, I admit, the entire strip of lashes might have been an exaggeration, but I do always seem to get way too much glue on places where I don’t want it. Like for example, the other day I ended up with glue on my legs, because I needed some place to wipe the mess away. Maybe it’s the extremely wet formula that is causing me all these problems. Maybe Duo is just shit. Either way, I need to find a new lash glue, and I will try to report back to you when I do.
